Next meeting

Our April meeting is on Tuesday, April 28 at The Seniors’ Centre in Cranberry. Doors will open at 6:45 pm and the meeting will start at 7:15 p.m. We can look forward to a presentation on xeriscaping by Master Gardener Jo-Ann Canning. Xeriscaping is a landscape design system that reduces or eliminates the need for supplemental water. It also creates a low maintenance landscape as well as healthier soil and a human environment that is friendly to surrounding wildlife. Although this method was originally started in the arid high plains climate of Colorado, all climates and gardens can benefit from its principles.  Our meeting is also the last event for Earth Week in Powell River.
