New Signs for Lang Creek Native Plant Garden

As a follow-up to our Garden Club presentation in February, our Lang Creek Native Plant Garden Steering Committee is excited to share our new signage which is hot off the press!

The plant identification signs, several months in the making, are now ready to install in the gardens. Because of the pandemic, installation is on hold.  As we know all too well, plans of all sorts have changed!
A work party and trip out to the gardens are not possible so we invite you to take a virtual tour of the gallery of signs as you shelter in place in the comfort of your home.
Our Steering Committee again would like to express our gratitude to the Tla'amin elders and Powell River Community Forest for making this project possible. In recognition of all other contributors, we ask that you would take the time to review our Acknowledgement sign which appears in the photo collection.
In addition, we would  like to recognize our friends and supporters from the Powell River Salmon Society on whose property the garden has been created.
Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to the Powell River Garden Club for their interest and support since the beginning of the gardens in 2009. Many of our Friends of the Garden are Powell River Garden Club members and as we know, great volunteers make great things happen - thank you all!

Now please settle back, and enjoy the  Signs of Spring from the Lang Creek Native Plant Garden.

Our Steering Committee members send you our very best wishes

Joyce, Wendy, Shirley, Ellena, Laura, Liz, Gail, Sharon, and Michael

Look for the second installment tomorrow.
