June 2021 Tea Party

We are having a tea party! Wear your tea party hat (there is a prize) and drink out of a pretty cup. June 22nd via Zoom at 7pm. Note: there are five Tuesdays this month and our meetings are on the fourth Tuesday-it can creep up on you. The link is in the members' newsletter. I have gathered some resources for party hats.

These designs use dollar store materials. A few years ago I made myself a dollar store garden party hat-pink straw with a large purple artificial flower. I'm tempted, however, to wear my faithful everyday gardening hat, floppy, faded and stained.

If you don't have a fancy teacup at hand for your beverage the thrift shops are full of them or use your favourite mug or, may I suggest, a wine glass.

The tea cup below belonged to Queen Charlotte, wife of George the third. She was a passionate botanist, lived for many years at Kew Gardens and commissioned the beautiful Mary Moser botanical room at Frogmore House. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frogmore_House
